Who should apply?

Students who have a Bachelor or equivalent degree in Science (Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Materials Science)

Admission criteria

GPA (Grade Point Average) of at least 75% of the scale maximum is required
A good command of English must be cerified

A complete application file must include (download CHECK_LIST) : application are accepted on-line (see below)

1. Your complete and up-dated Curriculum Vitae (European format, see the following page for the format: https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/),
2. Officially certified copies and translations into English of your diplomas (please send a scanned version by e-mail). Please note that selected students will be asked to bring the original diplomas when arriving in Europe,
3. Certified English translation of transcripts of your academic grades,
4. Motivation letter,
3. Officially certified document of language test (copy of the TOEFL/IELTS score report, or equivalent) if you are not graduated from a University where English is the teaching language,
4. Scanned copy of your passport or any other ID AND a proof for determining your legal residency ,
5. Photograph,
6. Two recommendation letters to be sent by referees directly to the Coordinator by e-mail ONLY,
7. Essay on nano-engineering (4 pages maximum).

INFORMATION

Student candidate can apply for an EMJMD scholarship to any of the Erasmus+ Erasmus Mundus courses of their choice (see the EMJMD catalogue), but for a given academic year the number of applications must be limited to maximum three different joint programmes.

Candidates/Applicants must be informed that if they are selected (proposed for a scholarship/fellowship, put on the reserve list or enrolled on a self-paying basis) their data may be used for the purposes of evaluating the programmes, efficiently manage the projects, and producing statistics. Data could be made available to the EACEA, the European Commission, the European External Action Service staff, as well as to other stakeholders of the Erasmus+ programme, such as Erasmus+ National Agencies, National Erasmus+ Offices and the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association.

Appeal Procedure:

1. After the decisions of the selection have been communicated, applicants have the possibility to appeal against the decision made by the Consortium Selection Committee.
2. Please note that an appeal can only be made against the selection procedure, and not to the outcome of the selection status !
3. An appeal should be made by sending an appeal form via registered mail to the CNE Coordinator (postal address: see bottom of the Appeal Form).  The form should state the reason of the appeal, including proof of supporting documents (if applicable). The CNE Appeal Form can be downloaded here.
4. The appeal has to be sent within 10 working days (with the date of postmark as proof) after receipt of the selection results.
5. Once the CNE Coordinator receives the appeal form, the sender will receive an acknowledgement of receipt by email. The appeal will then be investigated by the CNE Coordinator and Consortium.
6. Within 15 working days after having received the appeal, the appealer will receive the outcome of the appeal with the reasons for rejecting or accepting it.
